Kenyan international Marjolen Wafula Nekesa is a two-time Czech Women's First League champion after seeing her side - Slavia Prague - register a comfortable 3-0 victory over Slovacko on Saturday to seal a 23rd league crown.
The 25-year-old, who joined the team in 2022, was also crowned the league’s top-scorer for a second season running after scoring 22 goals in just 14 games played.
The dominant performance of the team sees them secure their third league title in a row and comes after an amazing run of 23 league games without losing a single game.

What’s even better for Nekesa and her teammates is that they still have a chance to win the double in Wednesday's cup final, where they will face Slovacko again.
On Saturday, Slavia’s chance to snap another league title was taken early on when Martina Šurnovská rebounded Tamara Morávková’s cross into the net inside the first 10 minutes before Haleigh Stackpole made it 2-0 four minutes later.
Morávkova turned from creator to goal scorer in the second half to seal the victory that secures Slavia another season in the Champions League.
Nekesa, who also won the league’s golden boot in her first season with 14 goals, enjoyed a brilliant campaign in the Champions League this season, and was on the scoresheet in October’s 6-0 victory over Olimpia Cluj that booked Slavia a place in the prestigious group stages.
She also made a cameo off the bench as Slavia Prague registered their first victory in the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stages courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Austrian side SKN St. Pölten in January.
