The ex-Gor Mahia Queens tactician has broken the glass ceiling as she is set to take charge of men’s top flight side, a first in Kenyan football.
Jackline Juma is set to become the first women to take charge of an FKF Premier League team following her appointment as the coach of FC Talanta.
Talanta has been without a coach since Ken Kenyatta was suspended and ultimately dismissed over a string of poor results and Juma has emerged as the favourite in recent weeks.
MEGAPARI is giving you the BEST ODDS and possible returns on this exciting match and on other premier league games this weekend as well.
Pulse Sports now understands the Kenya U15 girls’ team coach has agreed a one-year deal to take over the reigns, making history as the first female tactician in the men’s top flight.
Juma has experience as she has also been serving as Gor Mahia Queens FC coach and holds a CAF A Coaching Licence, the second highest qualifications on the continent.
She completed her CAF A Licence course in May which enables her to handle national teams and side featuring in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.
Juma also handled the Ministry of Sports-backed Talanta Hela women's team that toured Spain in March.
FC Talanta escaped relegation by a whisker after finishing 15th on the 18-team table with 37 points, just one better than Sofapaka, who had to go through a two-legged playoff, to retain their Premier league status.
Juma will therefore be tasked with overseeing an improvement in performance for a better finish in 2024-25.
