Fans looking forward to enjoying the Kenyan Premier League fixture between Police FC and Gor Mahia at the Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday will need to reach deep into their pockets.
This comes as the host team, Police FC, has set a record high for entry charges, with the lowest-priced ticket at 1,500 Kenyan shillings and the highest at 3,000 Kenyan shillings.
The club announced the details for the upcoming match on social media:

Tickets will be available for purchase for three consecutive days leading up to the game, specifically on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The club emphasized that no ticket sales would occur on the match day itself.
Kenyan clubs appear to be increasingly adopting online ticketing systems, and this trend extends to law enforcement this weekend, as tickets for the match will be available for purchase through a link provided by the club.
The communication from Police FC stated, “The link to access our tickets will be broadcasted on all our social media platforms from today (Wednesday) at noon to Friday at 5:00 pm. No tickets will be sold on match day.”
Gor Mahia is currently leading the Premier League standings with 43 points after 19 matches, while their hosts are in the sixth position with 30 points. Despite being the only club yet to taste defeat this season, Gor Mahia has been defeated by five teams so far.
In their recent match, Gor Mahia secured a 1-0 victory over Tusker at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, widening the gap at the top to ten points. Meanwhile, Police won 2-0 at home against Nzoia in their last outing.
